The Pioneers finished the meet with 16 personal bests and 3 event winners at the 7 team invite Wednesday night. To begin the meet, the Pioneers decreased their state qualifying time for the 200 Medley Relay (Weston Marshall, Kato Fischer, Curtis Springer, Jack Schilling) by 1 second and took 1st in the event. Individuals, Weston Marshall and Kato Fischer both won events, in the 100 Butterfly and 100 Freestyle, respectively. Curtis Springer also earned 2 state consideration times at the meet – leading off the 200 Freestyle Relay (24.16) and his 2nd place finish in 100 Backstroke (1:02.86). Marshall also took 4th in his individual 100 Breaststroke.
Also on the relay front, the Pioneers took 3rd in the 400 Freestyle Relay (Schilling, Antonio Lemus, David Redding, Springer) 5th in the 200 Freestyle Relay (Springer, Nick Walker, Redding, W. Marshall).
Schilling took 3rd in both the 200 Freestyle and 50 Freestyle (24.74). David Redding finished in 2nd in the 500 Freestyle and 9th in the 200 Freestyle. Nick Walker took a 6th and 7th place finish in the 200 Individual Medley and 500 Freestyle, respectively. Walker cut a whopping 20 seconds in his second 500 in the season. Angel Morgan took 9th in both of his individual races, 50 and 100 Freestyle, with personal best times in both events. Jeb Marshall earned a 10th place finish in the 200 Individual Medley, just off his best time, and 9th in the 100 Butterfly with a personal best time.
